Types of Collisions
Просмотров 11Месяц назад
Introduction to collisions in physics. This video introduces you to the types of collisions (elastic, inelastic, super-elastic) that we see in the world around us! The video is based on a lab that we did in class with two carts colliding in different ways. I explain the lab we did at the beginning and then talk about where "lost energy" goes!
Introduction to WORK
Просмотров 2Месяц назад
This video uses toys and real life examples to introduce the concept of WORK to students in a HS physics class. Several conceptual examples given!
Energy Conservation Practice
Просмотров 3Месяц назад
Basic Energy Conservation for beginning HS Physics class. Includes GPE, KE, and Elastic Potential Energy. Three example problems to help introduce us to the idea behind simple calculations!
Introductory example using rotational kinematics terminology
Просмотров 383 месяца назад
This video is meant for AP Physics 1 students. It follows a simple example that includes angular displacement and angular velocity for a common every-day occurrence. Recognize that not everything has an equation. We are using problem solving to take us from one step to the next!
Rotational Kinematics Example

Introductory example for AP Physics for rotational kinematics!
Why do different sounds sound different
Просмотров 564 месяца назад
This video teaches about why different sounds sound differently. The big NEW idea is superposition. Superposition of waves and harmonics is what makes the same note sound different on a piano, trumpet, clarinet, and human voice. Check it out!
A grey feather that is blue! (Physics)
Просмотров 404 месяца назад
A Blue feather that is only blue under certain conditions. When you shine white light all the way through it, you can clearly see that the feather is actually gray!
Introduction to Simple Harmonic Motion Explorations
Просмотров 665 месяцев назад
Quick introduction to Simple Harmonic Motion of oscillating springs and pendulums. This also introduces students to the exploration we will be carrying out in class. Meant for AP Physics 1 classes.
Magnetic force on a particle moving parallel to a wire (AP)
Просмотров 485 месяцев назад
In this problem, we first determine the field around a current carrying wire. We then consider the magnitude and direction on a particle moving parallel to the wire.
Charge moving through a magnetic field (AP)
Просмотров 345 месяцев назад
This example deals with a positive charge moving through a magnetic field. We deal with the motion of the charge both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Charged particle moving through Potential and Magnetic field (AP)
Просмотров 525 месяцев назад
In this example, we first consider a charged particle accelerating through a given potential, after which it continues through a magnetic field. We deal with the motion of the particle qualitatively and quantitatively.
Required Magnetic Field in a Velocity Selector (AP)
Просмотров 285 месяцев назад
In this video we use the given information to create a velocity selector. We determine the strength and direction of the magnetic field.
Gun Recoil Short

This video comes from Military.com (ruclips.net/video/bYWzMDVgweg/видео.html), I have shortened it to use as an introduction to conservation of momentum in my AP Physics class. I do not own the video or make any claims on any of the content.
Anchoring Phenomena: Theme Park Physics
Просмотров 3375 месяцев назад
A compilation of theme park rides as anchoring phenomena for our unit on theme park physics. Includes Texas Giant (wooden roller coaster), Gunslinger (swing ride), Zumanjaro (drop ride), and Area 51 (centrifugal ride). None of these videos belong to me, I just abridged them.
I love you, I just discovered your videos. You´re a great teacher!
Thanks! I hope you find them helpful!
¿Alguien viendo esto en 2024? :V
Los estudiantes mios todavia la ven cada ano! :)
Hlo sir came here from your 13 yr old kinematics vedio which i saw in class 9th currently now i m in class 11th That older ved got suggested to me again So opened channel So gr8 you to continue this channel even after yrs Hope this comment makes you a bit happier
Torque in anti clockwise should be positive.
Please read the comment below. +/- is just a convention. It really doesn't matter which one you do, as long as you are consistent and communicate your process! It's all a matter of perspective. If you look from the other side's perspective, you will see what looks clockwise to one person is counter clockwise for another! Though you are correct, the normal convention matches that in math, which is that we like to treat clockwise as negative.
great video
Glad you liked it, the physics is still real in 2024! :)
who's watching in 2024?
14 years later and possibly got me the full A+ on my test ❤❤
Glad to be of help!!
BRO UR THE REASON I GOT INTO HONORS MATH
You really help me, thank you.
The sohcahtoa 'indian' NATIVE dialog was foul but tthx for the math help LOL
we can actually differentiate the function of the area to find the x value that will maximize the area enclosed.
@zoik11 from 10 years ago or really anybody else with this question you would do 1- r instead of 1 + r in the parenthesis, like in the first example its increasing by 5% so he puts 0.05+1=(1.05) =r you would subtract instead so it would be (0.95)
Thanks @user-hm8pt9me2i. I try to get to all of my messages, but missed this one somehow. This is correct! :)
🙀
Thanks, your vid helped a struggling AI student.
Haha, glad to be of help to anyone!
You're a great teacher
Glad I could be of help!
you a real one
Thanks, I think? :)
0:03 bro sounded like one of those meme laughs 💀
Looks like it hurt
Live leak?
Thank you Mr. Bdubs!!
You are welcome, Samster. Always glad to be of help!
🤦 'Promo sm'
🎉🎉
2:07 got me giggling haha
Glad you liked it, gotta have a little fun now and then. Hope it was helpful!
@@MrBdubsSASyeah actually i couldnt find an explanation on this anywhere else, thanks a bunch!
Thank you❤❤❤
You are very welcome!
thank you so much you just helped a student from Jordan:)
Awesome, I am not to far away in Oman! :)
Thanks! Love the enthusiasm and the video was super helpful! Let’s hope I do good on this test! 🥲
Glad you found it helpful! Feel free to share with your friends.
4:55 why that formula, do i just ignore the final velocity for the car?
If you look at the other two equations for kinematics (that AP gives), they both are problematic if a = 0 (for the horizontal). In one situation, the equation would simplify to v = vo, and in the other it would be v^2 = vo^2. Neither of these is helpful, so we go with this one. Yes, ignore the final velocity, as it isn't helpful in this situation!
Thnk u sirr
You are welcome! Always glad to be of service!
This exact question was on an act a few months back 💀
It is a common style question on ACT, SAT, and IB math!!!
Would it be correct to say that every time you receive a quarterly percentage of the 2 percent, your principle goes up a little each time. So when the next quarterly percentage occurs, the value increases?
I believe that what you are saying is technically correct in principle. Mathematically that would take longer, though!
You taught this lesson so eloquently! Please do more of this type. Outstanding in your presentation.
thanks
Gosh this is so easy
W
So useful. I didn’t study for it and a question like this was on my test and i managed to get it correct using your method. thanks!!
Glad it was useful. Hope you can try out some of my other videos as well!
What website/application did you use for the calculator? Thanks for explaining equations using negative and positive torque. This video was helpful.
It is just the TI-84 smartview. I'm a teacher so it came with a class set I had purchased.
Thanks a lot ❤
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the math but I really hope your perception of Indigenous people has changed within the past 9 years. 😭 Gave me Peter Pan flashbacks.
Wow 😲😳😳
this was suuuper helpful thanks a lot!
this sucked
yessir
for algorithm pt 2
for algorithm
Thanks this helped a lot
this guy kinda sounds like the physics version of hikaru
xd
"This is actually really easy, they're being kindddd to us" -the physics teacher I need
Thanks for the help. 💪
Thank you
Thank you so much.I've been looking everywhere so far this is the only video I have seen that has helped me
